Durant is the best overall comparing them both as college freshmen. But, Carmello gets the emotional edge for taking his team to hte NAtional Championship.

Kevin Durant Hands down. But Carmelo and Kevin are good in there own ways.
Carmelo is a pure jump shooter
Durant can do everything and can play any posistion.
But Carmelo is in the NBA and has down succesful lets see will Durant be sucessful we know he is going to go someday!!!

Kevin Durant hands down. He has lead the longhorns all by himself and in conference play averages 30 somethin points and 10+ rebounds. Carmelo was mostly a scorer and Kevin Durant can play defense, score, and rebound.

I guess that will depend on Durant leading Texas to the title. It is hard to tell because the Big East is a better conference, but Durant is Bad ***.
