Well, i don't mean to sound brutal, but remember, you asked.

First the people set up a trap for the animals, Most the time it is either a leg trap (firmly grasps the animals leg) or a cage trap (a cage that is hidden into which the animal unknowingly walks into, or a cage set on the ground that when movement inside is felt, the cage pulls itself up)

then they catch the animal and bring it to a station, where they keep it in a small cage with no food and water. Most of the time the people let the animal die first.

Then using a razor sharp knife, they skin the animal. Whatever is left of the animal, is thrown away.

If the animal is smaller, then it takes more then one animal to make a coat, so they sew them all together, trying to make it look seem less. Then they ship it to a store.

And let me tell you this, even fake fur, has traces of real fur in it. A lot of fake fur is actually dog fur.

I know it might have sounded brutal and harsh, but i think that the world would be better for people and animals if no one wore real fur. That is why i don't wear any :fur, leather (animal skin) Now i hope it changed your opinion about fur.

The animals with fur are usually cleaned, skinned and then the fur is taken to a factory when its then cleaned again and sewed onto the coat and then steamed and put out for sale!

Real fur coats are made from animals, but faux coats aren't. If thats what you mean.

You kill an animal, shave its skin, send it to a manufacturer and voila a fur coat. It's kind of sad*sniff*sniff*
