Alright, well, her daughter is currently 10, but the 48 year old author of "SEX' and singer of 'Like a Virgin' has fairly recently announced she is not gonna let her daughter date till she is 18 (which is pointless cause she would be an adult and not need her permission)

Yes Madonna is a hypocrite. She exposed millions of young girls to her antics but yet raises her daughter with those rules?

NO because maybe she learned from those things and now knows better and doesn't want her daughter to have the learn the hard way.
The only way she could be a hypocrite about this is if she lets her sons date before 18.
When you know better, you do better. Sex came out in 1992 (15 years ago) and Like A Virgin in 1984 (23 years ago). I am hoping that she has grown up a lot and learned a whole lot more since then.
Morals and values change as you get older and people overcome thier mistakes. If she can save her child from some of that pain, then she does and that makes her just like very other parent.

She only puts those boundaries on her daughter because she knows that she hasn't develop a trusting relationship with her daughter. In other words, she won't let her date until she is 18 because she has not instilled her daughter with good attributes that would give her the knowledge of what type of man to date before she is 18. Maybe all these celebrities should stop having and adopting children just so an overpaid nanny can raise them!!!

I wouldn't necessarily call her a hypocrite- I think she probably just wants her daughter to live a more "normal" life and not make the same mistakes she did- I think we would all do the same for our children, don't you?
