Depends on how their mother was towards them almost 85%, unless they have been in very prolific life-altering relationships with dishonest girls...then their mother could be saint but he won't trust another woman. My boyfriend's mom was overbearing and now he is TOO trusting. We had problems due to my sneaky nature, and now, when he meets someone like you he will be hesitant to trust her because I cheated on him, snuck around, etc.

There was a time when women were easy to trust. That has passed. Look at the first idiotic answer that mentions defeat. That's what boys have to deal with these days. I say continue not to trust most women but look closely for the few you can trust.

Because there are quite a few of them out there (women) who are looking for one thing only (deep pockets; and it's not to make it easier for the guy to play pocket pool). Besides that, it means a loss of freedom on a huge scale. A guy can be his own boss, spend his money on the Hi Def TV instead of the pretty Dining room furniture. Go out with the guys without having to think about having to buy flowers and candy afterward. Will never have to sit through "Fried Green Tomatoes" because their girlfriend wants to, etc, etc, etc.
Don't get me wrong, the differences are nice too, and there is a lot to consider for commiting as well, but those are the reasons guys hesitate.

i trust my fiance. However, it took a long time after being hurt so many times by former girlfriends, and my ex-wife. mostly because most of the women I know refuse to stay faithful.

Not all boys are like that. But those who are may have experienced trauma such as but not limited to: sexual abuse , feelings of abandonment , or it could be a learned behavior from watching how their father was with women, or from how their mother treated their father or themselves.

my boyfriend does trust me! its probably becuase us women give them reasons not to trust them or something like that...im not sure though.
