I was wondering after haveing you membranes swept how long was it till you went into labor or did you even go into labor. Also how long after you lost your mucus plug. Not your water just your mucus plug. Please share your experiences with me thanks!

I've never had a baby before but my sister had her membranes swept and she didn't go into labour after that. She thinks that they calculated her dates wrong - because she went into labour around the time she made her due date.

I was 2 weeks early when my membranes were stripped. I lost my mucus plug 2 times and then I was induced and still my water didn't break until I was fully in labor about 1 day later.
Everyone is different, just pay attention to your body and good luck!!

Yes I had my membranes swept with my last pregnancy...this was around 3 pm...I went into labor that night...around midnight and had my daughter at 2:30 am....I think I lost my mucous plug a week before that...I had been dilated at 2cm for 2 weeks prior, I guess having my membranes swept really helped it along....Good Luck!

I lost my mucus plug the nigh after the induced me but I still would not dilate past a 1 so I went through all that pain for nothing because they did a c-section after 2 days of inducing.

Sorry but when I got my membranes stripped it did nothing for me. My doc told me to have lots of sex. Semen contain prostaglndins which "prepare" the cervix. I've read that nipple stimulation can work if done three times per day for one hour at a time. I never lost my mucus plug so I can't answer that one.

i went into labor a week after completely losing my mucus plug. it just depends on your body. Is this your first baby?
