It's much better to have loved. To spend your life never knowing love would be a sad life indeed.

I believe that it is better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all. I believe everything in life happens for a reason and are learning experiences. The love that you had is something that many people never experience. The love that you had is a beautiful thing and probably made you very happy. I know that losing a person is difficult but finding one that you can love and that can love you in return is even more difficult.

People say that and some even believe it but I'm not sure if it is true. When I still see guys that I once had a relationship with I think about them and I even wonder how things might have been different, did we give up to soon did we make the wrong decision not staying together and I realize (b/c I'm now in a long term relationship) that I may never know. In the end I guess so b/c there are people who went through life never knowing what it really feels like to love someone and have them love you back, and not knowing what that feels like is like not living to me.

Yeah I think it is. I think that each relationship we are in, no matter how it ends up makes us a stronger person and who we are today. I have loved before and lost but in that I have gained so much to learn from. If you never love at all then you would live a very lonely life and never get to experience true happiness, even if it is only for a short time.

I get the impression you are talking about the opposite sex as in falling in love although I have been lucky never to have lost that - I have love and lost a friend and I wouldnt have missed the good times for the world even though now it is **** so I imagine it is the same for falling in love

I don't think so .Its like you just built a brand new home with all your belonging in it and here comes the banker and forecloses he puts all your belongings on the curb and a bunch of junk pickers in an old broke down pick up truck stops and take it . I ask you would that feel good.

You can never know how precious love or happiness is if you haven't felt the opposite. It hurts, but it makes you much more appreciative once you find what you're looking for!

It's better to have loved and lost than to have lived with that psycho for the rest of your life...

I agree with what "*lostdownhere" said, that's how it is for me. Just when you lose love, don't let it discourage you from loving or accepting love again. You might be missing out on a good thing if you don't let your guard down. People are going to be who they are going to be. Sometimes you have to let your guard down in order to find that out.

Nope. already wish I hadn't fallen in love with my husband. Look at all the trouble I got in!

Otherwise, I would've finished school, not be tied down to a jerk, etc etc.

love sux
