Good question!
there is only one way to really give the right answer and that is with EVIDENCE!! not just a load of housewives on Y!A giving it all 'go sister!' and 'girl's rock' etc.
let's think about all the brainiest figures in history in the following departments shall we?
science- overwhelming majority of scientists, inventors, nobel winners are men.
men 1 women 0
art- again, although there are plenty of very famous and talented women in this area, i would say that the top 10 most influential artists have all been men.
men 2 women 0
architecture- i can not think of a single famous woman architect. i can think of dozen's of men. the same is true for engineering.
men 4 women 0
literature- again, women are catching up but this is another department where men have dominated for thousands of years, from the bible to comic books.
men 5 women 0
cooking- nigella lawson vs. gordon ramsay. nuff said really.
men 6 women 0
finance- over 90% of the world's fortune 500 are men.
men 7 women 0
even a woman should be able to see a pattern emerging here.

Women are smarter.
Of course most of the scientists, philosophers and inventors were men because women weren't allowed to do that kind of thing back then. Even now it's frowned upon to be a great eg. engineer if you're a woman. You just dont' get the breaks. The best, most intuitive car mechanic I know is a woman.

i dont think there is a way to really tell. there will be men that are smarter than women, and there will be women that are smarter than men. of course, if you judge by these answers, over half are from women just saying Women because that's what they are. i'm a girl too, but i believe that we're equal or there's not really one way to tell.

I'm not putting all men in this category,it's what I've learned over the years,women have way more common sense(that is,,in my own personal experience),as for other intelligence depends on the person,the education that person has,and what they are educated in,not what sex they are.

I think women think over things more and look in deeper and think outside the box and see more sides to one thing...
..Where as 9 times out of 10 men just see one thing... Not always though....

It depends, doesn't it? Both are equally clever, i mean it doesn't really matter but women or girls in other words, tend to get the highest grades at school than boys. Not because they are dumb, the dudes are just messing about in class.

depends on the subject... when it comes hair and clothes then women win hands down but everything else just doesn't seem to matter to them!!!lol
ask a woman what a change a tyre on the car and they automatically think the hovers broke!!! lol

depends...... women are brainer when it comes to manipulation and guilt tripping
men are brainer when it comes to dossing and getting out of doing jobs when theres footie on the tv!!
As a general rule though - I think Ill have to go with women... we can multi task - so that has to count for something!
