I am trying to find movies about the meaning of life, and I'm wondering if you all will help me out? If you don't know any about this particular topic, then how about some movies that reveal a certain truth about all humans? Thanks!

Can't think of any films that directly talk about the meaning of life, but here's some films that reveal certain truths:

Dead Poets Society - explores the importance of seizing the day.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles - explores the value of friendship and the dangers of being prejudiced/overly judgemental.

The Fountain - Hugh Jackman's character spends all his time trying to find a cure for his wife, only to miss out on all the precious time he could have spent with her near the end.

Groundhog Day - Well, it's about taking time to get to know people and learning to love others.

The Shawshank Redemption - explores the value of freedom and of having strength in the face of adversity/persecution.

Wow I always fall back on my favorite movie, Harold & Maude. I can suggest four or five great ideas I got from there. (Mind you these are spoilers, if you want the ideas IN CONTEXT.) 1) "Most people are just backing away from life. Seize life, L I V E LIve. Else what have you got to talk about in the locker room afterwards." 2) "Consistencey isn't really a human trait." 3) "Aim above morality. Don't cheat yourself out of too much life." 4) "Always give it time for artistic appreciation." 5) "Here today, gone tomorrow, so why get attached to Things." Also the movie will make most folks cry their eyes out, and it is funny as hell too!

The Five People You Meet In Heaven. It was a made for tv movie, but it is based off of a novel and teaches a lot about the meaning of life.

Even the movie Fight Club has tons of dialogue about life and what the purpose of being a middle class worker is. Great movie if you really listen to what is being said and going on.

Start at the top with "Monty Python and the Meaning of Life"; otherwise, films like "Se7en", "American Beauty", "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" all reveal a certain truth about humans
