Where can i download free tracy beaker style fonts.
I am decorating my daughters bedroom and really want to spell out her name in huge colourfull letters. As she is a fan of the UK television program Tracy Beaker, I thought it would be fun to use the same style writting that is used in the popular TV program and books.

I looked for quite a long time to try to find you a free font, but no luck.

I did find one that's only $2 US and it looks very similar to the Tracy Beaker style: http://www.scrapbookbytes.com/store/product.php?productid=18887

Or maybe you can turn something up that you can use something here -- they have 36 pages of "funky" fonts.

I looked at the cover to a Tracy Beaker book, and it looks like it would be simple enough to just make them yourself. The "e" letters in Beaker are different, so I don't think there's an absolute science to forming the letters. I think it would look great if you just freehand the letter outlines in black, draw a bubble around the word(s) in her name, color the bubble pink, and decorate each letter with stripes, polka dots, etc. of different colors. Involve your daughter (decorate/color the letters together) and it will be something she'll always remember!

Here are some sample images of the font that I found so you can see the different ways they are done:

Also, I found this cute book plate you can print out if you want. It's done by Nick Sharratt, the illustrator who does this great font. http://www.myhomelibrary.org/smallbookplates/images/SharrattNick_gif.jpg

Good luck!

Try the link below, you have to fill out a survey first. I have found many hard to find fonts here.

Happy hunting! ;)
