sound eminates in waves from its sources. The are circular, provided not impeded by an obstacle. So rotating speakers will not create rotating and upside down music. Just try it at home, take a speaker and place it upside down, how will the music sound?

If you're advanced enough to wire them, and if your engine doesn't make too much noise, you COULD hear your speakers.
Speakers use magnets to make the sounds you hear, so it doesn't matter what way they're facing. Try taking speakers at home that aren't attached to the stereo (except by the speaker wire) and turn them over. You can still hear them.
