Is this a common ion effect? Can we add that H+ produced when substituting its concentration in pH equation?

you have to use Ka and Ka2 to get the correct pH. Write out the acid disassociation equations and it will start looking a little less intimidating. if you still don't get it don't hesitate to ask your teacher for help
