O_o you don't know what manga is? oh me god garl :P! japanese comic books, often with violent or adult content, but there is also manga for younger people of course.
There are different genres; shonen manga is for guys (often has lots of battles and stuff), shojo manga is for girls (often love stories)
Then there are my favourite genres: Shonen-ai and yaoi. Shonen-ai means 'boy-love' and has stories about boys falling in love with other boys (sometimes only as an innuendo). Yaoi is the adult version of this, with sexual content.
You would be surprised how popular that particular genre is. Yaoi-fangirls shall inherit the earth ^^! Also worth mentioning is that yaoi-fangirls usually are slashers as well. That means we take two guys we think are hot, like clark and lex in smallville, or harry potter and draco, and write juicy fanfics (stories made by fans) about them. Some people like to take it to the extreme and like slash Snape and Dobby together and stuff, but that sort of fic is just for laughs ^^!
oh sorry, I'm totally of subject here :P! If you are interested in starting to read manga I can recomend some for you :P!
These manga's are totally innocent and not shonen-ai or yaoi, cause i gather you're probably not interested in that lol :P!
: Fushigi Yuugi (about a girl that gets stuck in the story line of a book and falls in love with one of her protectors in that world... and she has to save that world).

Manga literally translates to Japanese Comic. So the comic form of the anime. Anime is the animated, tv, watchable version of the manga. The manga usually comes first, and then it gets turned into a tv show if its good enough. So for example, you cant DRAW anime because its moving, so therefore you can only draw manga. So Kingdom Hearts Manga is a readable comic/graphic novel of the game.

manga is Japanese comic books and printed cartoons. Known outside of Japan manga is known as comics only created in Japan/by Japanese people. (Although there are variations such as manhwa (Korean comics).
Either way it basically means a comic book that was created by a Japanese person in Japan.

And an "anime" is a Japanese cartoon.
