Is it partly due to Bush cutting funds for additional police officers program and after school program Clinton started which worked?
Crime always rises when neo-cons are in office. Is it because under neo-cons, the poor get poorer as the dollar loses value?

With the funds being cut Bush has taken police off of the street. Less police presence means higher crime. Bush in the first few months cut many good things that Clinton had done, we are reaping the rewards of budget cuts for necessary programs and will continue to do so. It was announced in Michigan this week that they are going to have to lay off 29 state troupers and demote many more because of a lack of revenue and a budget short fall. Thanks for nothing George Bush, Thanks for nothing.

Bertacus,
Jobs and salaries are down? That would be really bad if it were true. Of course, just the opposite is true.
Average Salaries have gone up to $18.62 in June/2005 from $15.80 in Jan/2001.
Number of employeed has increased from 137.8 million in Jan/2001 to 145.9 million in Feb/2007.
Don't let a little thing like the facts get in your way.
Short Bus, unemployment is at an all time high since the Great Depression? Wow, thats quite a wopper!!! The unemployment rate is 4.5%. This is equal to or LOWER than the unemployment rate in 79 of the 96 months that during the last administration.

The population is also up by a bit. Is the population growth and the rise in crime about the same? Without all the facts it is hard to say if it is the fault of the current administration or just another skewed statistic. I know what you want (to make Bush look bad) and if that is what the facts reveal I will have something else to consider on election day but unless your insinuation is backed by facts it carries no weight.

Clinton became clever adequate to actual artwork with the Republicans and concentration with a concerted attempt to balancing the fee selection in a bipartisan way. it extremely is why he went lower back as much as 60% and it is the reason he became re-elected. Obama shows no warning signs of moving lower back in direction of the middle, and until de does, he will possibly basically be a one-term president.

Because the reason it went down in the first place is truth in sentencing laws for which we can thank moderate and conservative Democrats and most Republicans, and a lot of those sentences are now coming up - people rounded up in the late 1980s and early to mid 1990s for violent crimes are now getting let out of prison.
Also close to 30% of prison inmates are illegal immigrants - blame Bush but blame his immigration policy or lack thereof.

Here is a link to the crime problem.
UNEMPLOYMENT IS UP
Unemployment is at a all time high since the Great depression. The Bush administration has made the informed decision to lie to America and claim there are thousands of new jobs.
This lie echoed by FAUX News has tricked America into a false security.
However it did not put any food on the table of the millions of working poor.

At a guess -- with so many elected officials committing crimes and getting away with it, by saying the law doesn't matter if your goals are worthy -- people are getting the message.
If your own elected officials can break the law at will, then there is no respect for the rule of law in general.
