My friends old imac, (the one that came in different colors), has a bunch of my flicks on it and I need them badly!! My friend said a couple days ago the computer started turning on and shutting off after a few seconds, it wont stay on. Anyone know what the deal is??

If the cooling fan stops working on PCs, the temperature rises quickly and the system shuts down as a safety measure. I suspect it might be overheating.

The battery is going dead....................It needs to be replaced ASAP otherwise you won't be able to boot up at all!
