Ferguson has bought so many poor players, Djemba, Kleberson, Taibi the list is actually quite endless..
When you look at worst value then it has to be Veron, the price tag in relation to return shows that.
Best player must be Schmeichal, without him united would not have won the titles they did, glory hunters look at the strikers but for every goal united scored then the world class saves the keeper made was the difference between winning a game and losing/drawing it.

The worse player he ever bought was Veron he did nothing to be worth the money Fergie dished out to get him. The best player he ever bought you could argue Ronaldo will be the best but at the moment I would have to say Roy Keane.

The best for me its Schmeichel. Cost near to nothing for what is the best Goalkeeper of modern football.
The best outfield player is between Keane (again a cheap buy from Notts Forrest) or Cantona (The Thierry Henry of his time)
The worst as far as money is concerned was definately Veron. However he was not the worst player and I would probably say that was Silvestre and especially because he is still in the team.

best would be a hard 1 between cantona or keane
and the worst is djemba2 by a mile.
i see someone has said smith? give him a chance i seem to remember when he came to utd he done realy well for us while we had players out.
