I am thinking it is jealousy. I am 55 and have always dressed sexy (classy sexy). This is who I am but some of my friends tell me that I am too old to be showing cleavage. I disagree and I think they are just jealous because of the attention I get and they don't.

If your cleavage looks good then who cares what they think.

BUT I don't like to look at women in 2 piece bathing suit that belong in a 1 piece!

If you are getting the attention based on your cleavage then does that mean if you don't show your cleavage you won't get the attention you crave and need in order to feel good about yourself?

I personally think women of any age should be a little more modest with their "goods" as men will not be looking at them, just their body. And when you are looked at for just your body you are not a person, just a sex toy.

Anyway - you are old enough to make your own decisions. Some would probably think you look foolish, some will say go for it. You've already made up your mind how you are going to dress so why do you need approval from strangers? I doubt it's jealousy - almost all women have cleavage and men aren't fussy - they will look at any boobs that are on "display". That's not attention. It's just looking at free skin. WHOOPEEE.

As long as it is in good taste, it's fine. I am over 40 and overflowing.. not by choice. If I could afford it I would reduce the size. Many of the clothes I buy show cleavage even when I'm not trying to. I think there may be a bit of jealousy in your friends' responses.

Momma good for you, don't they know that age is only a number, god let us use the body that we have now so in return we need to treat our body like a temple. Those friends of your are just insecure and they are jealous because you know how to treat your self, dress and all'
I am a dress up person too since I was a kid, my mother was too,but this is not the point, I am 50 years old and I look younger for my age because I take care of myself, and for those who thinks that were to old to dress up classy are very low self esteem and they can't be like you or me.........so let me just say that you go and get them with your head up high!!

As long as you keep it classy and not trashy, then you're good. Hell, when I'm that age I hope I feel good enough about myself to wear things that show my healthy sexuality.

What I don't like to see are the young girls trying to dress sexy.

some things are better left to the imagination

if you have nice skin, i don't see where there is a problem showing a "little" cleavage.

i'm 50 and in pretty good shape.. i don't have to expose myself to look sexy.

they may not be jealous -- you may be getting "negative attention" and if these are friends who actually LIKE you, they may be looking out for you.

I don't have a problem with it as long they aren't looking like a wolverine has nursed on them OR as I call them "Orangutangers" (meaning they're drooping REALLY bad). Bottom line, if they look bad, for God's sake, cover them up. That would be like some guy who has a HUGE beer gut walking around the beach wearing a Speedo bathing suit. It just looks bad.

Are you in a nudist colony? Cause then it's really good to do. Only kidding, I think you should at ANY age if it makes you feel good about yourself. Let's face it--people who are prone to find fault, will find fault with anything...besides, show me someone of the male species that is against it, lol. If you got it, flaunt it! I am older than you and I say it's all good.

As long you are happy with your body, and have self confidence, you should be fine.

I don’t think is a good idea to be showing off when we are very old and now it looks kinda bad. At that point is better to stay cover and be happy you were able to show off your body while young.

But if you are 55 and you look good, then I don’t see any problem. By saying good I don’t mean to look like a model, but to look good as you take care if yourself and you know you can get good attention.

I admire people like you that have self confidence. I like to show my body, I’m not afraid of it, and I love when girls look at me. My Wife does the same, she loves to show her legs, and I love to look at them, and have fun watching other guys when they look at her… LOL But she is all mine… hehe and I am all hers.

We are still very young, but I know we will be the same way until we know is time to cover up.

Thumbs up for you.

I am over 40 and agree with you. As long as your do it within good taste.. Being older does not mean you have to give up trying to look and feel good about yourself.
