My car is making this grinding, rumbly type noise when I put it in reverse and back it up. Like when I am parking my car and I back it up to straighten it out is when I hear it. What the hell could it be???

Sounds like you need to go to a garage and have a mechanic look at your vehicle. Any advice you receive based upon you question would be simply guess work, you do not provide enough information to make a determination. You will get allot of could Be's. Visit a good garage and have them check out the vehicle.

sounds like the reverse gear is going out in your transmission, pretty soon you won't have any reverse, you will have to have your transimission rebuilt, I don't know how much it will cost but you could call a couple of repair shops to do some price comparisons. good luck.
