Believing yourself to be Jesus is actually not a very uncommon delusional framework.

One of the more famous and recent examples is Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda, who made several newsfeeds (link 1 and 2). His life is arguably not much like Jesus' at all: he's a former heroin addict, an ex-con, and divorced with four kids. His doctrine seems to be one of self-indulgence, claiming that there is no longer any such thing is sin, the Devil, or Hell, and that followers of all other religions should be destroyed. He has no recorded miracles. People like his ideas, though, and give him stuff.

Schizophrenics sometimes manifest these symptoms as well (link 3) and there are certainly drugs that provide a severe enough break with reality to induce this kind of a psychosis as well, if only temporarily (link 4).

I recall another case where a person beat someone else's brains out with a baseball bat but when the police asked him about it, he said he couldn't see how that was a crime because he was Jesus (link 5).
