Clear slime used in movies is various versions of the product: K-Y jelly It comes in various degrees of thickness.
Special Effects Departments buy direct from the Manufacturer in bulk for this purpose.

buy a box of clear gelatin from the grocery store. Add a tad of extra water, but not too much. Use food color for color.

ewww, K-Y really? I would think you'd use gelatin with no flavor or dye.
