After a number of bad mistakes, I need advice. I want to know what you would do. I am 29 and I have a wife and a child. I have 88 credits towards a degree in film editing which doesn't help because I no longer want to be a film editor nor do I want to move to LA or New York. We are living with my uncle and I am trying to figure out how and if I should try to go back to school. What would you do?

I would get working ASAP. If you're not inspired to work in film, then just drop it. You'll find the most success in your career when you identify what you're passionate about. Until then, start getting paid doing whatever you can and saving your cash, while constantly seeking new and better opportunities to either realize your ideal career or at least make better money in the interim.

Get a job & go back to school part time so that you would be able to better find for your family....after all how long are you planning on staying with your uncel?
