Morton being hired was hilarious. As a Chiefs fan, I watched the old fart kick here for a couple years. We had to sign another guy to do kickoffs, because Morton couldn't kick it past the 20. Having the same guy (Konen) punt, kick, and do kickoffs is insane! What if he got injured during the game? Would Vick end up kicking the rest of the game or what? Kickers are inexpensive. Sign 3!

They will not draft a kicker unless its a last round choice. There will be serviceable kickers out there by season beginning. And I don't think they have given up on Michael K. just yet. Now days, every roster spot is important, and 1 guy doing both jobs is ideal.

Well maybe in the late rounds. I think they could easily find one on the market though. Heck the Steelers got Jeff Reed as an undrafted kicker in an open tryout during the mid-season a few years back when their's got hurt. In other words kickers aren't too hard to get if you really want one. Yeah finding a good one may take a little, but it isn't impossiable. If they really wanted I think Vanderjerk is open market. Then when he runs down his QB most will agree.

They can get one in the 2nd or 3rd. They do need one that can make field goal, XP, and the kickoff. They also need to sign backup kicker just in case of injuries or one is better at the kickoff than the other. Try to get a young rookie kicker that the Patriots got.

Maybe they will draft a kicker in the 6th or 7th round but they have holes to address in the draft other than kicker.

They do need a kicker. But they shouldn't draft one until the later rounds.
