I'm interested in fashion and like to know the clothing styles of every music culture. Like how do rappers dress? rockers? hip hoppers? metal? punk?

rappers/hip-hoppers tend to wear baggy clothing (i`m sure you`ve seen on tv the rappers with the pants sagging off their butts, practically dragging the ground & making it seemingly impossible for them to walk without tripping over their own feet)...they also seem to favor lots of gaudy gold jewelry...many of them wear loose-fitting shirts & caps or ski-type hats...usually they wear some type of sneaker...
rockers/metalheads seem to stick to denim, leather, spandex (but it depends on the genre of rock-glam, goth, grunge, etc.)...common footwear includes combat-type boots, converse sneakers...big favorite color is black...
punks are known for wearing the clothing with the safety pins & bondage straps...piercings seem to be popular with this group as well...doc marten or other heavy-duty combat-type boots are usually seen on punk rockers...hairstyles tend to lean toward the more extreme, such as mowhawks, etc...
this is just a general overview, i am not an expert, merely a music fan who has observed other music fans...the descriptions i have given are the usual stereotypes associated with the various genres of music, but by no means are these hard & fast rules of fashion styles...many times 2 or more styles will merge in the dress of one individual (example: goth & raver, punk & rocker)...each music fan has their own fashion sense!!! you should check out some publications, tv music channels, & visit some different clubs & concerts to further investigate the worlds of music fashion!!!

For Rap, check out an urban hip-hop magazine like The Source or something I guess. They're probably pretty informative.
