My specs are
asrocks k8upgrade mobo
amd sempron 64bit 3000
1gb ddr ram
geforce 6800gt
seagate 120gb hdd

I have an envision monitor, for a while the screen was pinching in and i thought it was dying. That stopped now and it randomly
goes into power saving. I changed video cards, monitors, tested ram, reinstalled windows the and the problem still happens. I am starting to think that it is the psu or bad ram but I am not to sure. If anyone has an idea why this is happening any help would be appricated. Everything is installed correctly and this problem has progressively gotten worse. Now when I try to run some programs it goes into power savings and the cpu fan slightly speeds up but other times it doesn't. The cpu temps are also normal?

I hate to say it, but Asrock boards are incredibly unreliable.

When they work they are fine, but a large proportion ship from the factory either DOA or with very dodgy circutry.

It does sound like it could be your board, though like you mentioned a PSU problem could also be likely.

Also it might be a problem with electrical wiring to your PC, such as a faulty power cord or outlet. Try changing your power cord if you have one spare and also try plugging your PC into another outlet if possible, even if it means moving it into another room.

All of your other system components look pretty solid, very similar to my setup funnily enough, so my money is on the motherboard.

First thing to check is your power supply. Make sure you do not have a flaky ps or one that does not have enough power (at least 450 wattson your specs) for the extra cards that you have installed.

Change your power supply and check your UPS system.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
