Most people think $30,000 is a lot of money and I should save it for a house or to invest but I am not money worried, at least not at this time!

I swam with the sharks at the Camden Aquarium and also in the ocean and it cost me about $200 total. But that's probably because I live near the ocean.

You can do it for less than $30K so I say invest some and spend some on shark swimming because let me tell you, it is the most INTENSE, amazing experience and I cannot even explain how HIGHLY I recommend everyone do it!!! Being 2" away from a 9' tiger shark is the most incredible feeling... Indescribable!

Good luck and have fun!!!

If you had $30K more to invest in a home I would do it, but to blow $30K on a vacation to swim with sharks is just not fiscally smart.

You can invest some money into scuba lessons, take a one week trip to the keys and dive with sharks probably all for less than $3K. You can then gain equity (more money) by investing in a home.

Now if you have over a $1,000,000 dollars in the bank, feel free to spend a little on yourself. But dark days do come, and one day you may be a little pissed at yourself for blowing some much cash.

Wise people learn from other peoples mistakes, stupid people learn from their own.

I would spend $5,000 on a really nice vacation and invest the rest. After awhile, you'll gain some interest and you can swim with sharks on that. Be careful though, not with the investing, with the sharks!

How about investing 1/3 of it for your future, It would grow substatially over many years and try to find a little cheaper shark swimming trip.
