Am I the only one who likes newer Woody Allen movies like Hollywood Ending, Small Time Crooks and Curse...?

I love these movies. I have them all on DVD and find them to be great movies to watch over and over again. I know they're not as deep as movies like Annie Hall or Hannah and Her Sisters - but I think they are still clever and really funny and entertaining.
Small Time Crooks, Curse of the Jade Scorpion and Hollywood Ending are probably among my favourite movies. (Although I did not like Melinda,Melinda or Anything Else.) In fact Small Time Crooks is probably my favourite comedy.

Does anyone else think his new movies are good too? Becuase I read a lot of people's comments and they seem to say they are terrible movies.

I love all periods of Woody Allen's work. My favorite of his recent films is "Match Point," which I think is one of his 3 or 4 best ever. "Curse of the Jade Scorpion" is under-rated...I thought it was terrific. I even liked "Melinda & Melinda."

I haven't seen any of his latest movies, so I can't really comment ...
... however, it sounds like you are a big fan of Woody's. Did you know that in 1966 Woody Allen purchased a spy movie made in Japan and replaced it's voice track with one of his own? His new voice track has nothing to do with the original script at all, so the results are often hysterical! It's available on DVD, so hopefully your local video store has it. Enjoy!!

No, not the only one. I have liked his for along time, but after the "pedophile" thing, his movies have turned a more serious corner, I think. More murder mysteries.

Honestly, I've never seen any of them. I tried to watch Annie Hall one time, but it was pretty lame. I probably wouldn't "get" his humor, maybe it's a generation thing.

Crimes and Misdemeanors was his best movie, in my opinion.
