Mostly because the weather is unpridictable by nature, and it changes all the time. Meteorologists can study it with radars and models, and try to give you the best outlook for what is to come, but it can easily change. That is why meteorology is called the "imperfect science." They can tell you what they see, and believe is going to happen, but they can't be 100% sure all the time.

To accurately and efficiently predict the weather we would need to know the speed, direction, and temperature of every particle in the atmosphere. Since this is completely impossible we will never be able to predict the weather 100% accurately.

Actually, alot of folks can predict the weather by the way their bodies feel.
And the weather man is always wrong.
Prayer can even change the weather if you pray hard enuff.

because nobody can control the weather, Its like u cant control when there's gonna be an eathquake.. u can predict, but its not necessary that it is 100% accurate. =)

dumb question - of course we can predict the weather. I do it all the time. _Accurately_ predicting the weather - that's the sticky bit.
