What is the best college around pittsburgh to major in journalism and advertsing?? im wanting to go into advertising managment so..any college sugestion? very good student.. top 10% of my class... most likely top 5..havnt really got much on it yet..so the sky is the limit lol

One way to work in that field is to get a BS in management -- which you usually get by studying in a business school. Carnegie mellon has the best business program in Pittsburgh. The Niversity of Pittsburgh also has a good undergraduate program -- but not as good as CMU.

With your background, you might be able to get into an even better school -- if you are willing to live away from home.

If you're wanting to stay close to home, but don't mind crossing state lines, WVU actually has a pretty good journalism school with an advertising sequence (http://journalism.wvu.edu/index.html). Taranto is correct that Carnegie Mellon is a great school, but CMU and Pitt share a LOT of resources, so either one could work...if you make it work. CMU is typically a better place for graduate studies, but again, as said before, has a great B-school.
