Because they are people too!
That is like saying that if you are black you can't go to the military! or saying that if you are jewish or Muslims you can't fight for YOUR country?
If they didn't then that could lead to another Martin Luthar King jr, Only for Gay rights..
And if you think this, GO GET A LIFE! AND GET OFF THIS SITE!

Gays are allowed to serve in the US military under the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy. This policy was little more than a political tummy rub for gays 13 years ago. It is time to go a step farther and allow gays to serve openly in the military.
Considering that gays have been serving in the military quietly for decades, any reasons against having them serve openly are without merit.
Take it from a 20 yr Marine veteran ;)

Have you ever been in or are you currently in the military? I'm guessing no because you can't even spell. If you aren't fighting for this country, then don't presume to tell me that I can't because I am gay. I do, every day, proudly.

For the same reason gay people should be allowed to do everything every other citizen of the United States is allowed to do: because we are citizens.

Because you don't have to be straight to be in the military; you just have to be able to shoot straight.
And gays can spell A L L O W E D

no way, keep them out, women have the right to demand separate shower from the men to keep the men from leering at them, why can't straight males have the same rights. keep the gays out of military showers.let the gays start their own freaking army if its that important to them.

We're already there. It's just that if anyone finds out, we will be dishonorably discharged. That is wrong. If we can die just like anybody else, we should be treated with thesame respect.
