i'm doing shamrocks and "kiss me i'm irish" at an irish pub from 2-7 on st pattys. it's alcohol based paint so it lasts longer, but its $100 worth of paint. a % of the money (no idea how much... the bar asked me whats fair??) goes to the bar. so... how much should i charge if i intend to even profit from this??

Decide what your supplies will cost you and then decide how much you actually like these people and then charge accordingly for labor and time... 10% mark-up, 20% mark-up.... whatever floats your boat?

Then put out a tip jar too...

Happy St. Pat's Day!
I would look at how many tats that can be done during that time. Then look at how many people will really want them. I would think you will get busier as people get a few green beers in them! LOL! The bar should get maybe 20 - 25%. Think, the more detailed the tats the more time it will take and the less revenue you will bring in. Simple and quick is the sure way to keep the party movin' and the funds rollin'! Have fun with it!

As much as the market will pay. An alternative is
Material costs + value of your time + % to bar = cost.
How many tats @ $1.00 do you have to sell to break even? How many do you think you can sell?
If costs = $100, you'd have to sell 100 tats. Can you?
Can you sell 50 @$2.00?

Will the bar say, OK we won't take anything until the materials are paid for? Your donating your time, most likely.

Good Luck :-)
