well..u knw u gotta learn to take jokes if u wanna live in this world. if u dont knw how to handle ppl mocking u and joking around with u..then they r gonna make the fun of the fact that u r not able to handle anything that goes anything against u. just relax a little, and think abt wht they r saying..do u believe what they r saying? or r they telling the truth? probably not..then whats the problem? let them say what they want..if they dont get any response frm u..they'll stop eventually. but if u keep telling them to stop becz u dont like it..they r gonna do it more..u knw what i mean? and u r saying tht they r ur friends right? then all these kind of things r nomral between friends..there is nothing serious abt it..and no truth in it..its just an expression of friendship..if they r ur friends then u should be sure abt the fact that they dont mean it.

Live like a Sardar. Sikhs constitute just 2 percent of 120 crores of Indians and look at it they are the most joked about, mocked at. 99 percent of Sirds do not react and take it in a spirit that their existence makes people happy and laugh, which breeds peace and harmony without affecting self esteem and one's confidence. In Sikh Gurbani also there is a hymn.."" Nindo nindo moko log nindo.." culminating into the fact that the more you are ridiculed or criticized about, the more polished you become as a human being. God bless you and please never lose heart !!

I can understand your situation my friend. But this world is full of such people and the only solution I see is that at least for some things you have to reply back very sternly to make them realize their mistake. And sometimes you have to take jokes as jokes and laugh along. If things still don't improve then you better avoid hanging out with such people.

Whatever one has done i.e. each and every action one has executed since childhood, is represented today by one's Common Sense. Leg pulling is generally done when one does not have enough common sense in a particular subject.

The only way to develop common sense is to work on the subject.

If the leg pulling is being done in a particular subject, which is not worth spending time on, ignore leg pulling and those pitiable experts of the subject, else work on it.

i l tell you what the problem here is.
1. you are looking at the outer world. the issue here is with the inner world, the inner you.
2. when people mock you about something, your innerself actually agrees to what they said and hence it bothers you.
3. let me ask you one thing - do you love everything about you? are you content with yourself? are you happy with yourself ? when you know yourself completely and be totally in love with yourself, you will totally disagree with what people have to say when they mock you And you will totally agree that you wont give a rats *** to what they think.
4. and when people just pull your legs in a playfull way, you will be in a position to appreciate their sense of humour and give a smile.
5. Now the actual work here is - how do i love myself and be content with myself. why do i not like certain things about myself. aint i being stupid by being so harsh on msyelf.
no book can teach you how to love yourself, but certain tips-
a. maintain a journal
b. everytime you are in an awkward situation, as soon as u get time write down why u agreed to people when they were mocking you. what exactly did you think about yourself is wrong when they said something bad. what is it that you dnt like about yourself
c. in free time write down why its not true what they said abt u and you have to believe this truely, (YOUR THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS HAVE TO BE COMPLETELY IN SYNC).
d. you l keep getting better, but dont stop journaling, keep zeroing on tinitest issues you find bothers you and keep cleaning those surface.
Read the book - "breaking the habit of being yourself, how to lose your mind and create a new one - by dr Joe dispenza"

Hi, you ned ti lighten up. The best way to deal with morckery is wne you are comfortable with the person you are you can laugh at yourself. I think people are cruel and they will always find something to say about you. So take it as just their opinion. The best way is to always have a nice clever comeback. That always makes me feel better

see dear if ur friends if they are really ur friends they wont put u down first listen to them carefully if he/she is making fun of u repeatedly note it in ur mind jus see whether u r really like that if u r so then try to change urself so that even ur friends will feel happy or
if its viceversa dont mind it try to ignore their friendship LITERALLY AVOID THEM join some new class get new friends or try to spend ur time with books music gardening fitness centre or yoga like that u can shape ur body and mind

best way is if u do meditation u will get clear mind set and afterthat u can find something funny about the person whos making fun of u and in turn u can poke his/her nose to shut their mouth when they are like that ok dear

I think this song is suiting for your question... It is called "No More Mr. Nice Guy" by Alice Copper.
------------------------------------------------------------
I used to be such a sweet, sweet thing
'Til they got a hold of me.
I opened doors for little old ladies,
I helped the blind to see.
I got no friends 'cause they read the papers.
They can't be seen with me and I'm gettin' real shot down
And I'm feeling mean.

No more Mister Nice Guy,
No more Mister Clean,
No more Mister Nice Guy,
They say he's sick, he's obscene.

I got no friends 'cause they read the papers.
They can't be seen with me and I'm gettin' real shot down
And I'm feeling mean.

No more Mister Nice Guy,
No more Mister Clean,
No more Mister Nice Guy,
They say he's sick, he's obscene.

My dog bit me on the leg today.
My cat clawed my eyes.
Ma's been thrown out of the social circle,
And dad has to hide.
I went to church incognito.
When everybody rose, the Reverend Smith,
He recognized me,
And punched me in the nose.
No more Mister Nice Guy,
No more Mister Clean,
No more Mister Nice Guy,
They say he's sick, he's obscene.
----------------------------------------------
If they bust your chops... bust them back. If they truly are your friends, they will be able to handle the ribbing back. If you just sit there and take it, you will only feel worse.
