There has been alot of criticism about the way politicians have been marketed in recent years. What are some ways the marketing of politicians might have an adverse effect on our government?

The term 'marketing' is akin to 'selling'. And in America, sex, money and fame sell. So there is no surprise when we end up with leaders that are not who they proposed to be...it was just really effective marketing. You get what you pay for...

helped...???? your kidding, right...???? all its done is make politicians a bunch of talking head soundbiters with no real grasp of any issues or solutions...and another bad thing about it is the fact that the leftist leaning media conglomerates have more say over who really gets a look at by the citizens...the photo op schmoozer...or the policy wonk thats actually got the issues covered...not to mention the dumbing down of politics, the control the leftist media has over them, the cultural decimation of america....theres just too many things to name in this whole subject ...just suffice to say its wrong and it sucks...
