hello, i work for a finance company and I would try to be a little more personal when shopping for a mortgage loan. After all, you don't want to get scammed over the internet. We work with over 100 banks and lenders, particularly to approve first time buyers. If you want more information, let me know what you are looking for and i'll see what I can find in your price range and all. have a good day!

I've used lendingtree.com before and was quite pleased.

Also, you may want to see what programs your state offers for first time home buyer programs. You may be able to get a below market interest rate mortgage or even down payment and closing cost assistance. Check out the link below to learn more.

Good luck!

Go to a local bank, preferable one where you have an account. They aren't as likely to offer risky loans and would have other options and know about programs for first time home buyers in your state.

I found out that using a local lending institution is a good idea. That way if a financial problem arises in your life and you get in a pinch to make a payment or two you can walk in and explain your situation to them in person. A lender 1,000 miles away from you on the phone may not be so understanding.
