I've felt a slight cramping in the lower left part of my abdomen for a a while now (thought it was implantation), I've been tired, craved veggies (asparagus and broccoli), breast seem to be getting bigger. It's been 9-10 days since ovulation and all the early pregnancy tests I have taken are negative. I'm on day 27 of my cycle so period should be coming anytime now.

My question; is there still a chance I'm pregnant? Does anyone have experience with having Preg. test say neg and then waiting a few days later and it's positive? How many days past ovulation should I wait? Or should I simply wait till the period is due? Impatience is killing me. :o) Thanks!

If you are only 9-10DPO and you can confirm your ovulation date (NOT by Day Counting but by cervical fluid dry up and/or a thermal shift) then you might simply be too eary to get an accurate result. The fertilized egg implants in the uterus about 6-10 days after conception. If you can't confirm your ovulation date, you could have even ovulated later than you thought and it would be even less likely to get an accurate HPT result even if you are pregnant.

If you are charting your fertility signs, you could wait until 18DPO w/ well elevated temperatures or 3 days past your longest luteal phase. Most of the time, the tests will be accurate 12-14 or more after conception though, which is why it usually works to test the day of the missed period.

Typically you're supposed to wait until your period is a day late. Even though the preg. tests say you can test early, they're not completly conclusive when you test before the missed period. You have to remember that your ovulation could be off by a few days which means that if you are pregnant, the pregnancy test might not be able to detect the HCG (hormone released when you're pregnant) for a few more days. I know it's hard, but just try to be patient...if you test a few days after the missed period you'll have a more conclusive test.
Good Luck...I hope everything turns out well for you!

Yes there is still a chance. I think you should go to the doctors and take a pregnancy test there because i took 5 pregnancy tests from the store and they were all negative, then i went to the doctors and found out i was 4 1/2 weeks pregnant, but you should wait to see if your period does come to save a visit to the doctors...
GOOD LUCK!

Wait until your period is late. Some women test too soon because of all the hype about early testing with these new fangled pregnancy tests. I know it is hard, but try to be patient. You will get a more accurate result if you test after you are late.

It is still possible that you are pregnant. A blood test won't show until atleast 10 days after implantation and a HPT will take longer than that.
