my pc keeps tellin me that there is no audio device yet i had volume last week. i installed speakers and that didnt work either.

If you are using the onboard sound, you might want to try and reinstall the drivers again. Usually that would be the RealTek AC97 drivers available here:

If that doesn't work you can pick up a SoundBlaster Live card now for real cheap.

Right click "My Computer, choose "Properties", then the "Hardware" tab, then "Device Manager". Expand "Sound, video & game controllers" and look for a yellow ! or a red X.
This will tell you if Windows recognizes your card and knows there is a problem. You may have to reinstall drivers, or you may want to uninstall & re-install the device in Windows. If necessary, go to Creative.com & download drivers fot the following model: (This link is to the replacement Soundblaster Audigy 5.1 on the eMachines replacement parts website)
