uma, you said your teacher was great and friendly. without any inhibitions, approach her and tell her the reasons for not attending to the tuition, she will definitely understand you. don't believe your friend's words. if you still have fear to approach her take the help of your parents, they will explain the reasons behind your absence. try to communicate your feelings in an assertive manner.

There is nothing harm in it. After all you are a kid, bound to do mistakes, that too it is free and for non-punishable.
As you have stated that your Math teacher is really great and very friendly she is well matured and will never care for such things. She will just ask about it for formality shake, you just tell your part of story.
Dont feel guilty concious for it, it was her part to visit you home/hospitol and your parents duty to either inform her themself or send message through some one.
Teacher and child relation is some thing that you cant imagine of. In true sense a Teacher is your Mother, Father, God, Friend, Guardien and symbol of love.

Uma, have your parents contact the teacher explain why you stopped coming and that they would like you to resume now that you have resolved the health issues. If the teacher attempts to punish you in any way get a different tutor. Your parents are paying her to teach you math. Not to scare you into thinking you are in trouble for not being tutored. I am sure she will act professionally, sometimes our friends are the ones who overreact in these circumstances -k-

Just tell her you were sick and that's why you didn't come. She can't be mad at you for that. It's not your fault. Maybe your friends are just pulling your leg. And even if she is mad at you, don't think on that matter for one second because both your teacher and you know why you didn't show up. It was a unexusable absence. She can't stay mad at you for that, once you explain. Hope you both become close again and all goes well.

Does she know about your health problems? If yes then just be the first one to talk because if you look like you're afraid to talk to her or like you don't want to talk to her you're only going to make her think the worst, so when you see her go up to her and be like "HI, did you hear about what happened to me? isn't that crazy? I'm so sorry I didn't talk to you for a while how have you been?" trust me, it brakes the ice and makes people feel more comfortable.

YOU haven't talked to her. So you dont know how she felt. Go and talk to her and tell that due to some health problems, you had to discontinue the tuitions.
I'm sure she'll understand, after all she has been your teacher.

It is part of growing up. In the future, if you can't keep a promise, you need to call beforehand and explain. Since you had health issues, you should explain to her and tell her how sorry you are. I am sure she will understand.

I think you should, still go there no matter what. And just tell her that "You where not in the need of her help, tell that your friend had helped you a lot with stuff and say You got the lessons. then tell her that that you came her becouse You dont get some stuff" thats all. I would do that !

I'm sure she would understand if you explain that you've been unwell.Apologise for not letting her know sooner and ask sweetly if you can resume your lessons. If you feel really bad, maybe a bunch of flowers will do the trick.
good luck
