I can't remember the story very well but there was a girl who got turned into a bird by a witch and the boy had to rescue her by going into the mountains to find the flower the bleeding heart. Please help

that sounds like a fairy tale, but I can't think of which. In some versions on rupunsal the witch chops off her hair when she finds out about the prince, turns her into a bird and sends her on her way... then the prince has to find her again.
