Bush has committed enough gross violations of our laws to warrent impeachment. I do not understand why no one in congress will stand up and try to impeach him. Is daddy Bush powerful enough to stop it ?

-Some towns voting to impeach Bush? What does that have to do with anything? That's like Mayberry voting to declare war on Canada. Don't you know when local politicians are pandering to their base? It is a nice safe thing for them to do.

On the other hand, the support for democrats is very thin. They barely took control of the Senate (one seat) and several of the new democratic congressmen ran as more conservative than the republicans they defeated.

I wish the democrats would start impeachment proceedings. The electorate will toss the whole bunch of them out on their ear. Maybe you don't realize this but you better believe Pelosi and company do.

So all of you wild-eyed, rabid liberals may as well stick a sock in it. The democrats will not de-fund the war, they will not impeach the President nor are they likely to do anything that might upset the applecart.

They will start a lot of silly investigations and they will spew a lot of empty retoric to appease their base. That they will do for a while until people start to get too annoyed at that.

Daddy Bush? Man are you out of it. The old man likes to play golf with Bill Clinton!

Because (most) politicians are at least bright enough to understand that you can not impeach a sitting president without some kind of evidence of an actual crime.
IT CERTAINLY IS NOT AS IF THEY'RE NOT TRYING!
Wouldn't it be better for all of us if they concentrated on the pressing issues at hand and stopped trying to fabricate 'scandals' that are only important in the their minds and those of the rabid Bush-haters.
This Congress is being manipulated and driven by MoveOn.org.
Paul Sorros is the real Speaker of the House - Nancy P and Harry Reid are simply puppets.

How is it you people don't seem to understand your own party doesn't want to do this?'Daddy' doesn't have anything to do with this. The Democrats know he hasn't done anything impeachable, if he had they would have already done so. It would be political suicide to do something like this with elections around the corner and the expense is incrediable. And you liberals are so worried about how the other nations look at us how would it look to have 2 impeached presidents in a row? Last you don't impeach presidents during war time. You all need to just move on and worry about the next elections, Guilliani is ahead right now!

stunning how this grew from being a controversy going on in Vermont to without note being the finished united states in only a count number of hours. The propaganda bandwagon rolls on, very such as the not in any respect ending, information lacking, not in any respect going to ensue demands impeachment ordinarily. call for impeachment all you want, in spite of the undeniable fact that that's in undemanding words ineffective rhetoric until eventually someone easily gives you real verifiable information that any crime has been dedicated. in spite of the undeniable fact that, if having a pipe dream makes you experience more beneficial useful, more beneficial potential to you.

Didn't one of the towns have a population of less than 100 residents? Is that how you want to run national politics, letting a handful of cities dictate policies? What's gonna be your benchmark? How many cities will it take to begin impeachment proceedings...ten, twenty, a thousand? Grow up. Someone will step forward once actual crimes warranting impeachment are found, until then, go jack off in a towel, that should get rid of your wet dreams.

Simple...lack of evidence.

I know it is tough to accept but politically motivated accusations and allegations don't reach the standard.

It would be little more than an impeachment based on opinion polls.

It's nice to hear the opinion of learned legal council unfortunately you are not it. Congress voted for the war, they are the only governmental body with the power to declare war. By the way can you site which towns have held a vote on the issue and site you sources. Furthermore, can you site the law which endows a township with such power.

Probably because all these people who feel these ways in these towns are loony, they have no idea of what politics is like, and they purely just hate the president. Ever heard of non-partisanship?

If our country impeached every president every time people didn't like them, we'd never get anything done. I applaud Pelosi for not going down that route and instead trying to work to create solutions.

Because unlike the uninformed public in Vermont...the Congressmen know that Pres. Bush has committed no infractions of the law that warrent impeachment.
You state "gross" violations...he has committed NONE

NO CRIMES=NO IMPEACHMENT

Your hero Pelosi even stated...IMPEACHMENT IS OFF THE TABLE...

Nice try...but you lose this one

Ah yes, you like to make claims that he has committed crimes but you provide no proof. Maybe that is why Congressmen and Senators have not moved forward.

Maybe they feel he is a lame duck and it isn't worth wasting tax dollars doing an investigation.

It just shows all those villages wasted their time and money passing worthless resolutions.
