I just saw the whole series in dvd and I must say it got kinda lame in the end, unlike the first few chapters, right? Especially the 7th and 8th discs ("dropping the dish"), the pacing got sooo slow and a lot of insignificant dialogues, I was so bored watching it. I hope the ending will turn out to be so much better, I still have the 10th disc to see :p

I think that series has ended already. I don't know what channel it was aired... I guess that's why I only caught it on dvd :p

I'm asking more of the review or feedback not the plot. I know what's it about, of course. All I'm saying is here how the tv series lost my attention at the end, and now I'm asking how it seemed to you, your criticism, any comments. Just don't give me a brief summary of the story.

I just finished watching the 10th cd ("taken") and it sucks. Big time! It's as boring as the previous chapters, hate the ending. They could have put the last 3 chapters in one but they chose to stretch it further just to keep the tv series running, pathetic. If there's one Spielberg work that I don't like, it's this one. Pretty interesting in the first 5 chapters then went blah in the end.

Yeah but it was too boring for me that I've decided to watch another tv series on other channel. 'Crime suspense'.
Happy viewing. (--,)

Taken is a multi-generational story spanning five decades and four generations, centering on three families: the Keys, Crawfords, and Clarkes. World War II veteran Russell Keys is plagued by nightmares of his abduction by extraterrestrials during the war; the Roswell incident transforms Owen Crawford from ambitious Air Force captain to amoral shadow government conspirator; the unhappily married Sally Clarke is impregnated by an alien visitor. As the decades go by, the heirs of each are affected by the machinations of the aliens, culminating with the birth of Allie Keys, who is the final product of the aliens' experimentation and holds the key to their future..

Taken was a miniseries. It was a long one, but it is a complete story. I absolutely loved it. I've watched it thru twice and read the book. I think it is a phenomenal story, following 3 sets through what is it? 3 generations?? Incredible!! I still think Dakota Fanning is creepy though. :)

I actually really liked it. It's been a few years since I've seen the whole thing though... so my memory has kind of faded. But I remember being awed by Dakota Fanning. She really is a great actress for how young she is.
