Okay, so my computer (not the one I'm on right now) had so many viruses that I couldn't get rid of so I decided to reformat my hardrive. So, without thinking, I just popped the XP Pro CD and let it install, and it gets to a part where it says "Please type the Volume License Key below". I have no idea where that serial number is, I lost it somewhere and didn't think I needed it again. Please help me, I don't know what to do, I'm stuck. And I don't have the money to buy a new product key.

Please help me and thank you so much.

HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Uhh Dude, if you're using a VLK disc, and you're not a corporation then you are for sure using a hacked/pirated copy of XP PRO.

So, you need to go BUY an actual copy at a reputable store.
Those disc will have a non VLK, single user, CD Key.

Good Luck

If you had a legit and registered verison of XP then just call Microsoft and they will give you a new one at no charge. I did it and had no problems.
