I'm a big fan of the Premiership and watch it on TV all the time. I've been to football matches in USA, France, Denmark, and Germany and was able to get beer and food at all of them. I'm wondering why when you watch English football on TV you never see fans holding food or drink.

Beer is allowed at football matches but you’ve got to drink it in a designated area. As a Hartlepool fan, our ground has several places that serves alcohol but you are not allowed to take your drink out of that designated area. They also give you plastic cups to drink out of so you don’t use it as an offensive weapon. You’re not allowed to bring your own alcohol into the ground either for obvious reasons. Some clubs may have their own rules though.

As for eating, most ground has places that sell food and there are no restrictions to where you can eat. Although likewise some clubs may have their own rules.

Beer isn't allowed at league matches. Apparently it is in Conference games. I've been to see Peterborough a few times. There are people that eat stuff at the games. I can't afford it so I go to KFC afterwards.

Drinking is only banned in the actual arena, lots of drinking goes on inthe clubs bars, usually below the seating areas.
Most people like a drink in their local football pub before games though

Its not allowed here, they sell food but alcohol isnt allowed during the games. I suppose its because of the louts that spoil it for everybody else and give us English a bad name. I imagine they never have food because there is always such a big queue at the hot dog van that you would miss all the action!!!!!!!
