i gave up all my family they didnt like the fact that i was with a man older than me but 9 years later and i am married to him and have a child with him plus a mortgage which they dont know anything about but i am still happy with him yes we have had our ups and downs and our bad share of luck but who hasnt so take my advise and do what your heart tells you and if it all does go pear shaped you can grin and bear it and go back but if it goes according to plan then you can hold your head high and say told you so

I've given up quite a bit for love, but I realized that giving up who I am and want to be,is not something that anyone should give up. There should be limits to what you would give up for love. Never lose yourself because of love,it's not healthy.

Depends how serious you are and what exactly 'everything' involves. If it spreads to your family think very carefully as you could regret it later in life. If just material things in life and you are sure of your feelings then go for it.

I wouldn't give up my beliefs for love - as long as I didn't have to change who I am or it didn't affect my daughter, then anything else I could do without for true love.

I would--and have--given up a lot, but not everything. If "love" required the sacrifice of beliefs or values--or, heck, my dog!--I don't believe it would be love.

No. I have my family and I love them.
But you mean, if someone else came along? No.
And I know what I'm talking about because I've been there and my answer then was no, too.
