An animal that eats insects is commonly called an insectivore, although technically they are carnivores. Animals like shrews and moles belong to the mammal order Insectivora, this is because the major component of their diet is insects.

if it eats only insects then it is a carnivore...but if it doens't only eat insects but eat vegetations also then it is an omnivore..
