I have just got my lip pierced today and on tuesday shool is going to make me take it out.....i know it was a stupid thing to do not to wait till holidays but i was just not patient enough...please any body got any ideas?

ARg stupid schools! Im getting mine done in a few weeks, I'll have the same problem... but anyways I know my friend refused to take his out and they sent him to detention
its really lame.

Yeah that was a very stupid thing to do, you should have waited till the summer holidays, At least you would have gotten a longer time for it to heal properly. All I can say as someone else had mentioned,see if they will compromise with you. If not tough luck, honey. You can try taken it out before you go to school and put it back in when you get home, though I know for sure that it is going to be very painful. So it is up to you if you can take the pain. I'm guessing you have learned your lesson, be patient!!/

Here's what I did:
Got my lip pierced, wore a barbell to school, they freaked the hell out and said to remove it.
So I said, "Make me. It doesn't say I can't wear a lip ring." so they called my mom.
Fortunately, she had bought a retainer (a clear "place holder") when she got the jewelry. She brought it and they stopped bitchin'.
Hehe.
But I did hear the principal saying "Well, when I edit next year's dress code, that WILL be a rule note to have any noticeable body jewelry except ears."
What a douche.
Get a retainer.

buy a retainer. its a clear plastic bar that goes in your lip piercing designed to hide it. i wear one to work everyday, and i work at managerial level in a bank. but whatever you do, do not take out your piercing now for longer than 5-10 minutes. you'll be surprised how quickly it heals over.

You have to keep it for a certain period of time or the hole will close. You can't just take it out and put in a retainer. That will teach you not to make rash decisions won't it?

yeah...you might want to forget about it for now. try the band-aid thing but if they say no..then let it go.
same thing happened to me at work. the band-aid was annoying and hardly stuck. so then id take it out every morning and put it back in 9 hours later. but, every time it was like i was repeircing myself-not worth it. so, i took it out. maybe wait for summer because you really shouldnt take it out at all so soon.

I had my lip pierced twice and if took it out for15-20 minutes,it was hard as hell to put it back in.I say just wear it to school.if they say anything about it take it out before school and try to put it back in after school....if you can take the pain.

You should definitely not take it out now that it's new but it seems you don't have any other choice...you should try the bandage thing.That might work.But don't take it out cause you won't be able to put it back in!

you can just put your top lips over the bottom or which ever one you got pierced and when the teacher looks then put the lips over it

just put a one of those holder things in it, go to a piercing pagoda (place to get piercings) they're a little stick you keep in it until it heals...
Lip rings are gross though...
