I would start with veggies and then move to fruit. If you do it the other way around, your baby might not like veggies.

Good for you! I did the same for my daughter. I would simply cook veggie or fruit and puree them. At first, the babies need to taste one simple thing at a time, not complex meals.
A tip: buy the mini, disposable Gladd containers (they only hold a few ounces) I would make a big batch of baby food and then freeze it in individual containers. It was sooo convenient!
When baby is older, I would just mix together different veggies or fruit. Even did stuffing and cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving! It is nice to know you are willing to do extra work for the health of your baby!
Hope this helps a little!

Making baby food is actually really easy! As a rule, you have to cook EVERYTHING. (Except bananas.) Except for apples and pears, I steam all the fruit I make for about 10 minutes, then put the cooked fruit and the water I used for steaming right into the blender and use "puree" or "liquefy". I do the same when I make carrots, peas, and green beans. (The veggies usually need a little longer to cook to get really soft and mushy.) I recommend using fresh fruit and frozen veggies. (Frozen veggies cuts down a little on preparation time.) Make sure you peel, core, remove pits, stems, or any other hard parts before you cook them.
I also make her sweet potatoes by just cooking the potatoes as normal, then blending them with a little water. Always make sure to add a little liquid to the foods- I found that out this morning!
The best way to store the food is to dole it out into ice cube trays and freeze it. Each cube it about 1 oz. Mix one cube into cereal, or feed her two cubes by themselves. You can put the cubes in a small bowl and microwave them for about 20 seconds each to melt them back down. Here's where the water is important- I froze my baby's bananas without adding water to the puree and when the cube melted, it got really sticky and cooked instead of being the liquidy puree it should have been.
Apples and pears are just cooked in water until they fruit is very soft, then I blend the whole thing. Any applesauce recipe will tell you how to cook them, but don't add the extra ingredients.
Good foods for babies:
Apples, pears, plums, peaches, bananas, nectarines, melon (honeydew or cantaloupe)
Carrots, peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, butternut squash
Avoid anything with seeds (like grapes or strawberries) and citrus can be very irritating to baby's system.
Feel free if you'd ever like to swap recipes or chat about it- empryean_priestess@yahoo.com.
Good luck!

Whatever you want to make for dinner, just puree some of it after you cook it, just make sure you don't over season the food you are going to puree for the baby. Ex.:Just take, chicken and green beans, puree together. AThat way baby gets used to eating the same flavors as you normally eat yourself.

You don't need recipes, you just cook fresh veggies, then puree them. Then you can put them in ice cube trays, freeze them, then once frozen put them in a freezer bag. Just take out what you need for the day.

You don't need recipes. Just cook and puree whatever you want baby to eat.

You dont really even need to puree them. When she is ready to start solids, she should be reaching for, and picking up, food.
