I can go on and one...the fact is that the only religion which features adherents who are more than happy to commit these types of acts in the name of their faith is Islam.

Allow me to rebut the inevitable babble from the usual suspects before they even have a chance to yammer inanities:

1) Yes, I know about burning witches, the Crusades, and the Thirty Years War. We're talking about today, not centuries ago. Western kids and Muslim kids both learn about the Crusades in school. The difference is that kids here learn about them in World History, whereas Muslim kids apparently study them in Current Events class.

2) Tim McVeigh, Ted Kaczynski, et al committed their acts in spite of their religion, not in the name thereof. There's a difference between a person who professes belief in a particular religion blowing someone up and blowing someone up because you believe your religion demands it.

Fr. Chuck: What can I say? We have bingo and they have potlucks. We all have our little peccadilloes :-) BTW, if a steer converts to trout-ism, can I eat him on a Friday during Lent?

Nameless Poster: Was Rudolph not roundly condemned by Christians of all denominations? I'm Catholic and utterly pro-life, and I heard nothing but disgust for his actions from anyone. Once again, let's talk about today, shall we? Why do you apologists constantly want to defend the actions of murderous barbarians by comparing them to the actions of others hundreds of years in the past?

Heidi: While that is unfortunately true in some cases, please cite an instance of the attacker's co-religionists defending and even praising his actions. When a Christian perpetrates an act like that, he is roundly and vociferously condemned by fellow Christians (as he should be). Muslims sing the praises of the "martyr" who gives his life while carrying out Jihad. Therein lies the difference.

cassandra: 1) the war has absolutely, positively ZERO religious overtones, except in the minds of the terrorists. Christianity has neither a foreign policy nor an armed force. Only sovereign nations do. Do you believe there are no Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, agnostic, or atheist troops currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan? 2) With exceedingly few exceptions, our troops are "murdering" no one. They are fighting a war in which they have every right to defend themselves. Those cases featuring troops who went beyond the pale in their actions are being prosecuted.

I keep hearing on this site that Islam is the guilty ones in bombing our country etc, ?? who the hell are you kidding they are muslim and Islamist and they are the same,
however one thing every one seems to for get is why?? do you really think it is because they hate our religion so bad?? if so you are plain nuts, the U,S, has supported Israel to kill those people for 60 years, they don't need to place a bomb on them selves and get blown up with the ones they want to kill they can stay 20 miles back in safty and lob a missile or ? into their midst, in perfect safety, but, these people don't have this type of weaponery, they do the only thing they can to fight back, and when ou take amans country kill his family take his home and every thing he holds dear , you have just made a terrorist or suide bomber, what the hell do they have to live for , no future no home no country and no family, no one wants to die if he has something to live for Muslim or not, but when you don't give him any thing to live for what the hell do you expect, this will go on as long as these people live unless some thing is did a lot different than it has been done in the past and an fool should see this, I personally think it would be more humane to nuke the whole damned place and kill them all, and if you don't want to kill them all then give them a reason to live, and stop this eternal harrasment and killing of them by the Israeli's make Israel pay them for the homes they have destroyed and give them back the land that was stolen from them, and stop making excuses, or they may come up with a plan to completely destroy the U,S and Israel,
and who could blame them under these circumstances???

The point of Tim McVeigh and Ted Kaczynski is that certain people will commit these acts regardless of the reasons. A person who wants to kill and terrorize will find something to justify it. The terrorists on 9/11 wanted to terrorize and they used Islam as justification. If there was no Islam, they would have picked something else to justify it.

Lets add to the list:
How many Muslims die over a fake story about the Qran being flushed.

Compare that to the story down under where Muslim kids piss and burn the Bible did Christians riot. What did the Muslim father want more protection for his kids.

Acceptance is a two street.

When they start being acceptance of us as much as they are demanding of us come get me and I will join in.

As to point 1: the Crusades were a several hundred year delayed response to a violent offensive by the forces of Islam in their ongoing and perpetual quest to subjugate all under a worldwide caliphate. A2 to point 2 I can't speak for the unabomber but reams of half hidden evidence pont to Mcveigh as being a stooge who took the fall for several MiddleEastern "gentlemen"(Ramzi Yousef among them) who were actually behind the Oklahoma City bombing.
To Cassandra: not all killing is murder.

Good points. As to your point #1, when Spain and the Balkans were conquered by Islam and Paris and Vienna were attacked, it was simply the spread of Islam. When the West re-took Jerusalem which had been taken from the Christian Byzantine Empire, it was a thoroughly reprehensible "Crusade," not only according to Moslems, but also to all good West-hating PC liberals.

There is no other religiously sacred book of faith that tells followers to kill others that don't adhere to it either. Islam orginated out of violence, teaches violence, promotes violence and even rewards violence in the afterlife. I know that there are peaceful Muslims that would not even think of committing a Jihad, but that is only because they are not radically involved in their faith. A radical Christian might talk you to death over the wonders of faith in Jesus. A radical Hindu might have several cows in their home and several other animals that they believe are their family reincarnated. But never, never, would they randomly kill people of other faiths in the name of their religion. Even the Crusades, although a great atrocity in itself, was not a random act against another faith. It was a political move that used the name of God as a catalyst to inspire a greater number of supporters. Islam is the religion that has sent this world into chaos. ..................but.............. I still love the crazy fools, and I hope they one day find peace within themselves to replace the hate.

Muslims, themselves, admit that radical Islam is a very dangerous thing. The problem exists that most people are still quite ignorant regarding the difference between Muslims and a radical Islam. I would suggest that it would be prudent for ALL news outlets to spend 10 minutes to explain it to people...so that discussions can be intelligent, and thoughts can be well informed. As it stands, Americans believe that Muslims are the enemy...

0 Presbyterians fly planes into buildings on purpose.
I believe you may be misled about Hindus, they are actually a pretty violent bunch.

I tend to think that people who's only education is their religion gravitate towards violence as a resolution. Its the only way they know, I can't recall any holy books that tell stories of compromise - they all tell stories of violent victory.

Islam doesn't have a foreign policy, either.

I note that you are ignoring that the U.S. General said his god was bigger than the sudanese warlord's god. I note you are ignoring the christian-'inspired' mass murders in africa. I note you are ignoring the hindu terrorists and the bride burnings.

Why do you have to pretend that it's islam, and not people?
WHY? What on earth can you accomplish?
