Would you live in? Not live in? Rank from top to bottom in order of preference.

PREFER:
1. TEXAS: greatest state/country on earth, where true Southern hospitality still exists
2. Mississippi: laid-back, hospitable people
3. Georgia: the natives are nice, the ATL is incredible!
4. Alabama: nice folks, love the boiled peanuts
5. Tennessee: love "Rocky Top!"
6. North Carolina: absolutely beautiful!
7. South Carolina: beautiful places, smiling faces
8. Oklahoma: really more midwestern, but still a nice place
9. Louisiana: the swamps have their own mystic beauty

NOT PREFER:
10. Arkansas: Bill Clinton was elected to 4 terms as Gov. there. Besides, what's in Arkansas?
11. Florida: very overrated
12. Kentucky: its slogan is "It's That Friendly." I've never met a bigger bunch of a**holes in my life; lived there for 4 yrs.
13. Virginia: kinda like New Jersey.

Not prefered:
#1 TEXAS - people are too erogant and gloat about a state that only has it's size to brag about

Prefered:

#1 Tennessee - People there seem Genuinely nice and hospitable.

But out of all 50 states, I stay here in Kansas!

Most southern states are still pretty backwards in my experience, especially Mississippi, Arkansas, Kentucky, Alabama, and South Carolina.

Certain cities in the south are very progressive (Austin, San Antonio, Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and Cary) but there is still a long way to go before this region catches up with the West Coast.

I'm a native South Carolinian & I hope we never catch up w/ the west coast. If you don't like it here, please leave.

I've been to Texas, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina & Louisiana. Each one has it's own unique charm. I've been to Florida also--okay to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. I've never been to the others.

Perfer-

Florida: *Where I live now* The most awesome state, beautiful nature parks and beaches, tons of theme parks, home to the largest theme park in the world. Just so many things to do.

Can't say for any place else...don't know much about them

Not prefer

Texas: Redneck land, not much to do there..way to hot. If I were to ever move there, it would only be for becoming a voice actor for Japanese Animation and that is where the dubbing studios are.

Georiga: Been there a few times, pretty boring and lame.

Can't say for any place else...don't know much about them.

1. Florida: Another language is spoken there (Spanish), which happens to be a GREAT thing because I want to speak another language BESIDES English and there are MANY beautiful Latinas there!
2. North Carolina: #1 in the South when it comes to education (My political science professor has told me), like the Piedmont Triad (Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and High Point; they're going to have a commuter rail system in the next few years, which is a GREAT thing for my baby brother who attends Guilford College in Greensboro), and the Krispy Kreme Headquarters are in Winston-Salem! (Winston-Salem, NC, ALSO happens to be the birthplace of the legendary AND sexy Pam Grier and Jackee Harry.)
3. Georgia (where I live NOW; I was born and raised here): Kinda heavily populated (which is a good thing for me; we NOW have more people than North Carolina [for shizzle!]), ESPECIALLY here in the Metropolitan Atlanta Area; birthplace of the most pieceful man on Earth (other than Jesus), the late Great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (R.I.P.); and access to the beautiful suburbs of Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Roswell, and Alpharetta (Northern suburbs of Atlanta). (Also, my hometown, Atlanta, is known for the world's MOST famous AND best cola, Coca-Cola!)
4. Louisiana: the beautiful Louisiana Superdome, LOVE some New Orleans rap (well, the late 1990s and early 2000s New Orleans rap, anyway), Mardi Gras (ladies, you KNOW whatcha gon' have to do if ya want some beads!), and the beautiful Black and Cajun women with their beautiful Cajun accent!
5. Texas: They have 4 Six Flags Theme Parks, home of the syndicated TV show "Cheaters" (based in Dallas); home of Houston's best rappers (well, to ME), which happen to be The Geto Boys (Bushwick Bill, Scarface, and forgot the other member's name), Chamillionaire, Lil' Flip, Paul Wall, and Slim Thug; MANY beautiful Chicanas (women who were born here in the U.S. that are of Mexican descent, like that beautiful and sexy Eva Longoria!), and is the most populated State in the South.
6. Tennessee: Fort Knox is there, of course! Also, you've got Lookout Mountain, Hypnotized Minds Record Label, and is tolerant of people of all races like Georgia.
7. Virginia: Home of N.E.R.D. and Clipse; also, it's closer to the North!
8. Kentucky: although I HARDLY know anything about Kentucky other than that's where Colonel Sanders came up with KFC, it seems like it's tolerant of people of all races, despite there being many country Black and White people. Also love Nappy Roots!
9. Oklahoma: harldly know anything about Oklahoma, too. I know that there is a rich Native American background there, ESPECIALLY of the Cherokee Nation.
10. Arkansas: other than it being the home of my favorite President of ALL time, William Jefferson Clinton (aka and bka Bill Clinton), all I know is that there were rednecks who were against racial integration at Central High School a little over 50 years ago (and they are STILL against it, ALTHOUGH it is currently integrated and has been SINCE it has been ruled that racial segregation is unconstitutional).
11. South Carolina: Other than Myrtle Beach, Devils Fork State Park, and the excellent 107.3 FM Jamz radio station in Greenville, I know that there are MANY rednecks there and that MANY of them are KKK members, which is DEFINITELY NOT a good thing for me.
12. Alabama: other than Tuskeegee University and it being the home of the great Smuckers Jelly Company, its still kind of racist, but NOT as racist as the one I'm about to mention, which happens to be ranked THE lowest on MY list!
13. Oh, my f#$%ing GOD!!!! What more can I say other than the rednecks there STILL hating Black people and wanting to lynch us like they did the past several hundred of years and that it is STILL the racist state in the country?!
