I'm one over 33 . But no , marriage is a commitment ,and you have to work at it . it works both ways . You have to give a little and take a little . Its not about being cruel or mean to each other .
If you value your marriage and believe in it , you will make it work .
In regards to your question I no quite few that are married over 30 years . But must admit , its not from the younger Generation of this day and age .
Marriages give up to quickly now adays . half of them do not want to work it out .

I attended my wife's grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary. That was about 12 years ago. The wife passed away one year ago.
When I was growing up I had a friend who's parents were still married and they were still together when I visited 2 years ago. I calculate they have been married at least 45 years now.
Those are the only ones I know of though.

Where I work, most people that work here are FROM here, with me being one of the only exceptions. There are several couples that have been married at least 30 years, and two ladies married their high school sweet hearts. They are both 58 and still happy!

Wife and I are on 29 years. We know several (more than 10) others, too. Hard times have come and gone, and you have to believe it is worth staying during the hardest time when you think leaving is best. Staying and working through the problems is so fantastically satisfying and you both grow richer spiritually.
