I have a commuity fish tank and am not sure how much food to feed them since they are different varities.

1-2 times a day feed them as much as they can eat in 2 minutes. May take a few days to woprk it out

First, feed them a larger amount of food, then observe the fishes activity. Make sure all of your fish get a serving. Once they have stopped chasing the flakes, look to see how much is left over (to figure out how much less to feed them next time). Secondly, feed them again, but the amount that the fish were all able to eat, and even a third time if you'd like.
You can throw in an algae disc and some baby shrimp in btw feedings, fishies love to pick on those.

Depends n how many fish in how big a tank....do NOT over feed as the tank will get dirty faster...rule of thumb is to feed no more then they can eat in 15 minutes without it staying on bottom of tank.You can feed once a day and don't to change their water 1/4 off bottom(with a tank vacuum) ever week if it's a 10 gal or every 2 wks if it's a 20 gal or more....add stress coat to new water and add water approx same temp as what you took out.

it looks like you got good answers. Its not hard depending on size and quantity of your fish. A good rule, in about three days, you can find out who much they will eat. Their should be no food floating around after two or three minutes. Feed in the morning and again about eight hours latter...

I feed mine very very small portions 3 times a day... enough for them to eat in 2-3 minutes .... maybe a little less because i feed the 3 times/day

How many fish do you have? Say you have 10 small fish. And you feed them flake food. Then you COUNT 10 flakes for you fish (seriously). It should be enough. Keep on doing this until you know when your fish is full. DO NOT OVERFEED JUST BECAUSE YOUR FISH BEG YOU FOR FOOD!

I feed my fish twice a day: 8 A.M. and 8 P.M. Feed them as much as they can eat in about two minutes.

you see this depends on the number of fish in the tank . you'll have to count them and put 2 each . 2 times a day.
