Yes, if there are t be gifts given, it is expected that they be given equally. If you expect a gift, you should expect to give one as well.

Men like to receive gifts, just like women do. If it's your anniversary, why not buy your man something nice?

Anybody with a real man for a husband, [not a boy] knows he doesn't care about an anniversary gift for himself, if he needs a tool or wants something he simply goes out and gets it for himself. If you want to get him something, that's fine too. Normal conventions has always been she is his bride and gets more attention [or fussed over] just like she did at the wedding.

Yes! Why should you be the only one getting a gift? You are celebrating the TWO of you getting together, it's not your birthday so you shouldn't be the only one getting a present. It's a special day for him too and the woman should put some effort into it and get her man a nice gift. Romance goes both ways!

It's a nice gesture but I don't know anywhere it's etched in stone that a woman has to definitely buy a gift.
