if you are using internet explorer, then follow these steps:
Simply go to internet options
(right click the e icon on the desktop then select internet options or tools-->internet options),
click on the Content tab,
there would be an option 'Autocomplete'.
click on it,
a new window appears. de-select the 'Forms' checkbox.
you can deselect all other checkboxes here if u further dont want your browser to store any of your info.

In your browser (internet explorer),
1. Go to Tools-> Internet options
2. Click the content tab on top of the pop up window
3. Click Auto complete tab
4. Uncheck the Forms checkbox to remove the autocomplete feature for forms (like that in the search box)
5. Click on the Clear forms to remove the previous list in history
This should fix the problem that you are facing.
Happy surfing. :-)

Hey! that is not a nuisance - it is a facility/assistance. If you dont want, you can continue to ignore and continue with typing. You can also keep Clear search field checked if you dont like this feature :-)
